The Cowboys are struggling to cling to the coat tails of a seven way battle for the NFC wildcard spots. This weeks abysmal loss to the Washington Redskins has left their chances slim at best.

The Falcons, 49ers, Bears and Giants all lead their divisions and can most likely be considered out of touch. The Cowboys find themselves in a group of also-rans scrapping for a spot in the postseason.

The mothership NextEra NFL have released the Week 12 NFL Powering Rankings that see the Dallas team fall two spots from #15 to #17 – behind the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts.

Coach Garrett is not putting in a convincing performance this year, and the longer the season continues, the more impotent the Cowboys offense appear in the first 30 minutes of each game. Garrett is now 13-14 as a Head Coach and is quite apparently characterised by mediocrity. There is not too much excitement or expectation to the team currently and it seems to us at BSR that a distinct change is required at the top. Now we all know JJ will not be making way any time soon, so it would seem the ‘next guy in charge’ is culpable.

I am all for seeing continuity in an organisation and understand how big a blow injuries have had to this team. However, poor coaching, undisciplined play and six losses cannot be easily excused.
